The North West Met Zone Carnival is a local carnival which involves a number of athletic clubs like ours within our local district. Athletes in the age groups U7 through to U17 are eligible for this carnival. U7 athletes do not progress past the Zone Championships. The North West Met Zone Carnival is collectively run by the clubs within the Zone.
7s – 12s athletes can compete in up to 4 different events plus the relay if selected & our Centre can have a maximum of six (6) athletes per event. If more than 6 athletes from an age group wish to compete in the same event, the selection will be based on their performance results.
13s – 17s athletes can complete in up to 6 different events plus the relay if selected & there is no limit to the number of athletes entered into each event.
Dates: 27 November (Fri) – 29 November (Sun) 2026
Venue: A.H.Whaling Reserve, Roxborough Park Rd, Baulkham Hills

If a child is selected for the Zone carnival, the athlete and parent(s) must be prepared for the possibility of going on to the State carnival, should the athlete be successful at the Zone and subsequent Region carnivals. If it is not possible to guarantee both a parent and athlete will be able to participate, then please advise the Championships Officer immediately so that another child may be selected in their place.
We once again emphasise that all parents of competing athletes are expected to assist in the running of events our Centre has been allocated to conduct on behalf of the LAANSW.
